While reading in a Randy Alcorn novel last night (Safely Home), I came across these words and thought of how true and applicable they are. To the vast majority of Americans, ambition and material wealth is the end goal, but it's an empty one.
He who sacrifices his conscience to ambition burns a picture to obtain the ashes. (Chinese proverb)
