Satan&#...I was reading Genesis 3:1-6 this morning. Satan's method of temptation was to shift Eve's focus from all of her gifts to all the things she did not have. She was perfectly happy before she chose to focus on something new she wanted to experience.<br /><br />I was just checking up on blogs I follow (after a long time of not...) and this post was perfect for my Scripture reading today. The "No's" are there for a reason: to say "Yes" to something better. If only the children would understand - "No, you may not lick the grocery cart - but yes, you get to come shopping with me, and receive my attention and love, and participate in eating all the delicious food I am buying for you." Of course that's a little too practical/rational. But perhaps we can apply the same rationale to ourselves when dealing with disappointment...<br /><br />Thanks for the great post!
